Many families have entanglements when buying furniture. Seeing a dazzling array of sofas, I don’t know which one to choose and which one is better to match. So below, I will introduce you to the classification of sofa materials. Only a better understanding of the sofa Only the most suitable materials can be used to select the most suitable sofa.

1. Sofas are classified according to the composition of raw materials, including cotton, linen, and chemical fiber. And there are many kinds of chemical fiber, including polyester, acrylic, viscose, rayon and so on. Many chemical fiber fabrics are mixed with several ingredients. As for silk and wool, they are very rare. I have been making sofas for more than ten years and have never touched it.

2. According to the dyeing method, there are dyed and yarn-dyed ones. Dyeing is to weave the cloth first, and then dye the color; for yarn-dyed weaving, dye the yarn with the color first, and then weave the cloth. Regardless of the composition of the cloth, it can be made into dyed cloth or yarn-dyed cloth. Generally, the monochromatic ones are basically dyed fabrics, and the non-monochromatic ones are all yarn-dyed fabrics.

3. According to the type of yarn, there are spun suede, chenille yarn and so on. Imitation suede is a kind of fabric that looks like suede. It is made of all polyester and is currently on the market. Chenille yarn is a relatively thick yarn that looks fluffy. The cloth woven from chenille is collectively called chenille. There are many kinds of ingredients. Both polyester and viscose can be made into chenille. This kind of cloth is thicker and has a rougher style. There are also more in the market. The store tells you that the fabric composition of the sofa is basically a mixture of various names, not according to a unified standard. Common ones are suede, chenille, yarn-dyed cloth, cotton cloth, and linen cloth. These fabrics are not good or bad, but each has different characteristics. According to the price, for fabrics of the same weight, polyester is the cheapest, cotton is a bit more expensive, and linen is much more expensive. But many yarn-dyed fabrics or chenille fabrics are heavier and thicker, so the price will be higher. Different fabrics are suitable for different styles of sofas. Modern styles and sofas with a stronger sense of line are more suitable for cotton or linen; the more classical styles use chenille and yarn-dyed fabrics. So when choosing a sofa, you don't have to choose which kind of cloth, but also the combination of fabric colors and styles.
